Plan Toys Australia – Quality Wooden Toys

Wednesday, March 30th, 2011

If  you like to keep your little ones absorbed in play and be confident that they’re not absorbing anything toxic, you’ll love the range of quality wooden toys from Plan Toys. They aim to engage the mind and help your little one develop valuable co-ordination and concentration skills in the safest possible way.

Child safety is a high priority for toy maker Plan Toys. Their lovely wooden toys are made from preservative free rubber woods, are decorated with non-toxic paints, and don’t have sharp corners or edges that might cause injury.

The range includes a Baby Walker with Block Set, a two storey Parking Garage, a brilliant Crane Set, and several great musical toys including – if you’re game – a Toy Drum Set.

Many parents prefer quality wooden toys to mass produced items, and it’s not hard to understand why – but they can be difficult to find. And while you might come across some fabulous looking hand made wooden toys at local markets, they’re not always constructed to child safety standards and there may be way to verify that non-toxic paints have been used.

Quality wooden toys may cost a little more than their mass produced plastic counterparts, but the chances are they’ll last much longer and perhaps even delight more than one generation of toddlers in your family!

Le Toy Van Toys – Crafted Wooden Toys

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

Kids toys are big business – hence the tremendous volume of tacky looking plastic toys on the market. In decades of old, toys were not only given with love, they were made with love by toy makers who loved to delight with their work. Magnificent wooden doll houses and other hand crafted wooden toys were plentiful but these days it can be hard to find truly beautiful wooden toys amid the plethora of mass produced items.

If you’re looking for beautifully crafted wooden toys you’ll be delighted by the offerings of European toy designers and manufacturers Le Toy Van. We absolutely love Le Toy Van toys. It is one of the very few brands outside of our own Hip Kids brand we sell through our online store.

Their lovely pink and white Sophie’s Doll House stands 670 mm high and has three floors and a removable roof. Detailed décor makes this dolls house stand out from the crowd.

Le Toy Van Honeybake Baking Set

Browse through our range of Le Toy Van toys and you’ll find plenty of well crafted toys to keep little minds busy including a honeybake tea set, Honeybake baking set, dolly dress up wardrobe and a stunning Belle Fairy Castle. Of course, dolls aren’t every kid’s cup of tea. If it’s clear that your toddler would prefer plundering the high seas to dining with dolls why not let his or her imagination set sail with the beautifully detailed Barbarossa Pirate Ship? Quality wooden toys that are well cared for can last for years and be passed down from child to child, and from one generation to the next, making them great value for money. If you want quality toys that will last, you’ll have trouble going past some of the lovely pieces in the Le Toy Van range.

Super Cool Ride On Toy Plane

Saturday, March 19th, 2011

How cool is this ride on toy plane!! We would absolutely love to stock these planes but you would have to re-mortgage your house to buy one. This particular plane is inspired by a 1941 Steelcraft US Army Patrol Plane. The plane is made out of heavy gauge steel, the propeller turns and steering is fully functional. These planes can be purchased from the US,  haven’t noticed any Aussie retailers selling these. As mentioned above we would love to sell these and possibly be the first in Australia to do so but we would have sell them for AUD$500 – 600. Not sure if  there would many people out willing to pay the price.
