Access to and use of www.hipkids.com.au (the "website") and the products and services made available are subject to the following terms, conditions and notices. By using our services, you are agreeing to all the terms of Service, which we may update from time to time. Please check our page regularly to take notice of any changes made to our Terms and Conditions.
Hip Kids would like you to be completely satisfied with your shopping experience. We want you to rest easy knowing that our products are of the highest quality, in safety, design & fun.
In the unlikely event that your item is faulty or damaged on delivery, please contact us within 7 days of receipt and Hip Kids must be advised PRIOR to assembly.
Hip Kids will at their discretion replace or repair any part found to be defective in material or workmanship.
If product is received in damaged condition, Hip Kids will at their discretion replace or repair any part, when postage insurance option has been selected.
Important Note: If your order is lost or damaged beyond repair in transit, your order will only be fully covered if you selected 'Delivery (includes Postage Insurance)' option at checkout. Hip Kids cannot be held responsible for uninsured orders lost or damaged in transit
Hip Kids cannot exchange or replace a damaged insured product if assembled. Hip Kids will at their discretion request return of original product should it need to be replaced.
Hip Kids may request photos to view reported damage or fault.
If you have changed your mind about the product you have purchased (up to the value of $300), you are welcome to return the product to us and you will be required to cover freight cost back to us. To be eligible for a Credit to be issued, the item must be returned to us in its original condition; unassembled, with labels and original packaging intact, within 14 days of receipt. Once the item is returned and assessed, we will provide you with a credit for the purchase price only, excluding postage. Hip Kids reserve the right to refuse return of a product that does not meet these requirements.
In the unlikely event that you should receive an incorrect product, please contact us via email immediately to arrange return and exchange. Returned product must be in original packaging, unused, unassembled and in original condition and will only be re-delivered to the original address, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Hip Kids cannot exchange an incorrect product if assembled.

Customer is responsible to return freight costs.
Please be sure to quote your Hip Kids Order Confirmation Number and contact details in all correspondence. No refund or replacement will be given until we have received the original product from you as outlined above.
Please post Returns via registered post (with exception to Cubby Houses and Beds) to:
Hip Kids PO BOX 92 Balwyn North Victoria 3104, and item must contain your Hip Kids Order Confirmation Number and your Full Name.
Important - If you intend to open the item at a later date, after the 7 days, you must open all the boxes and check for damages or faults within the 7 day period after your item has been delivered and notify us immediately, as late claims (after 7 days) for damages or faults will not be accepted.
To obtain further information on product returns, please refer to Trade Practices Act Guidelines, by which Hip Kids are bound.
Due to the size of our parcels we only ship within Australia
We'll endeavor to send your order within 24 hours of receiving cleared payment. There may be a delay for customers paying via Bank Deposit as electronic payments can take between 24-48hrs to clear.
Please note that these times depend upon many factors and are a guideline only. Unfortunately we have no control over delivery time once your item has been mailed. As a guideline however once your item has been dispatched delivery can take between 2 – 10 business days depending on destination and all orders require a signature upon delivery. Please note that delivery can only occur Monday-Friday during business hours.

Delivery within metro Melbourne: 1 - 2 business days
Delivery from Melbourne to other cities and large towns in VIC: 1 - 3 business days
Delivery from Melbourne to Capital Cities with SA, NSW, QLD: 3 - 4 business days
Delivery from Melbourne to other interstate locations: 4 - 10 business days
If you would like your order in a hurry please add a note to the comments section within your order and we will do our best to dispatch as a priority. Please note that delivery can only occur Monday-Friday during business hours.
Important Note: We highly recommend when making a purchase you select the 'Delivery (includes Postage Insurance)' option at checkout. Doing so will mean your order will be covered in the unlikely event your order is lost or damaged beyond repair in transit. Hip Kids cannot be held responsible for uninsured orders if lost or damaged beyond repair in transit. Please also refer our terms and conditions page for further information.
All products (with exception to Cubby Houses and Beds) are dispatched via Australia Post. You can expect to receive an email with delivery tracking number after your order has been dispatched. In the event that you are not home at time of delivery or if Australia Post does not normally deliver parcels to your door, Australia Post will leave a calling card in your mailbox and your order will be left at your nearest post office for collection. Please be sure to quote your Australia Post tracking number and bring along photo ID for collection. Signature is required for delivery.
Cubby Houses and Beds are dispatched via Courier and require a signature for delivery. All Delivery costs are based on delivery to your front door or ground floor during normal business hours. It is the buyers responsibility to make arrangements to take items at this point. Our Couriers will not deliver to upstairs or lift access locations.
Important Notice To Customers
All of our wooden and wood derived Products are hand crafted, hand assembled and hand painted. Each item is unique in its finish and minor imperfections may occur. These imperfections are not manufacturing defects.
The paints we use are safe for children and are durable, but will not withstand abnormal abuse. Paint chips can occur, but touch up paints can be made available upon request at a nominal fee. Please contact us quoting your order number and full name if you require touch up paints for any of our products.
Maintenance And Use
Products are to be used on Level Surfaces only.
Please check assembly at regular intervals and we recommend that you tighten hardware if necessary. If maintenance is not carried out, the product could cease to function properly.
Caution: Adult assembly is required for all products where assembly is required. Hardware often contains small screws with sharp points and unassembled parts should be kept out of reach of small children at all times. Customer is responsible for carefully inspecting the condition of the product prior to Assembly. Return/exchange cannot be granted after assembly if the product is damaged, incorrectly assembled or not maintained as reasonably necessary
We accept payment by Paypal, VISA, MasterCard and Direct Bank Deposit. Orders will not be dispatched until full payment has been received. Please click on payment options for more information on available payment options.
Payments via Bank Deposit must be made within 3 business days of purchase date. Failure to do so will result in the order being cancelled.
For Lay bys you have the option to make an outstanding repayment by credit card via phone.

Lay by Options - Pre-order of out of stock items only
Lay by Options are ONLY available when Pre-ordering an ‘Out Of Stock’ Hip Kids product. Sorry, we do not accept LAYBY on current products.
We offer a 4 week lay by where 20% of purchase price is required as deposit to secure your purchase. Balance is required 4 weeks after order placement date (or when pre-order becomes available).
There is no exchange or return on Lay by products. Failure to finalise lay by order within lay by period may result in your order being returned to stock and lay by forfeited. To obtain further information on product returns, please refer to Trade Practices Act Guidelines, by which Hip Kids are bound.
We understand that sometimes your situation can change. We are happy to offer a full refund if we have not yet mailed or commenced work on your order and providing that a written notice of cancellation is received within 24hrs of order placement. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0417133968 to arrange cancellation.
Refund or exchange is not available on Lay by purchases.
All content and software on our website, including images, text, website design, logos and graphics as well as the selection, assembly and arrangement thereof are the property of Hip Kids, unless otherwise specified.
You may store, print and display the content appearing on our site, solely for your own personal use.
Unauthorised use of content on our website may violate copyright and other applicable laws that could result in criminal or civil penalties.
