Fun Kids’ Activity Using Wool

11 Sep

Most households have at least one roll of unused wool, so why not put it to good use? This is a fun activity your little one will thoroughly enjoy and all you need is some wool and contact paper.

Colourful wool looks best, but if you have something plain lying around then use that first. To prepare, roughly snip the wool into lengths of 5-8cm.

Now for the fun!

Present your child with the contact paper with the sticky surface exposed and secure it with tape to a window. Then give them the pieces of wool and allow them to stick it on to the contact paper, creating random shapes and colourful clumps.

Little ones will love the fact that the wool stays in place. You don’t have to stick the contact paper to the window either, you can just as easily use a tabletop or something else.

You’ll find that once the pieces are up, your child might come back to it and rip pieces off it and then later come back and add more on. It’s an ever-changing, evolving piece of art!

Leaves and pieces of felt also work well with contact paper for this activity.
