It suits children aged 12 months to 3 years. The low 22.5cm seat height makes it accessible from 12 months. See our Kids Bike Size Guidelines for more information. Can the trike convert to a balance bike? Yes. Swap the long axle for the short axle, then remove the third wheel. Keep the short axle in a safe place until your child is ready to make the switch. Is this a good gift for a one-year-old? Yes. It’s one of HipKids' most popular first birthday and newborn gift options, with a wicker basket and personalisation available.

Our Alice is not available for collection from our store in Surrey Hills. Special Notes - Preparation Required and Product Care: In order to protect your Alice Cubby House and to ensure it can provide years of enjoyment for your children, it is highly recommended to prepare your Alice for outdoor use. Our Alice is supplied unpainted. The display images of the Alice Cubby House are photos that have been sent into us by customers of their cubbies that have been prepared and assembled in their own homes. We can provide Dulux colours upon request. Please email our customer sales team at hello@hipkids.com.au The Alice Cubby House must be erected on a solid, 100% level surface. The floor base suggestions are included in the assembly instructions. Suggested assembly timeframe is an estimated guideline only and does not include the pre-assembly preparation time, including painting, preparation of the floor base or the siliconing of the joins. Due to small minimal gaps at the hinged walls of the window and door openings, and also the gap between the top and the bottom doors, this Alice Cubby House is not 100% waterproof. We suggest regularly checking and maintaining your Alice, especially during the wetter months. External and internal painting of your Alice is strongly recommended, either prior to assembly, or within 1-2 weeks of assembly, to minimise timber movement and deterioration of timber due to exposure to weather elements. Due to the nature of this timber structure, some allowance for expansion and contraction of timber in differing weather elements & environmental conditions must be accepted. If you do not intend to assembly your Alice Cubby straight away, please inspect the components immediately so you can report any issues within 30 days of receiving your delivery. We recommend storing your cubby house cartons safely and securely, out of the weather elements, and standing in a vertical upright position until you commence assembly. As with any outdoor furniture, the Alice Cubby needs regular and ongoing maintenance to continue to protect it from the weather elements & environmental conditions. Please refer to our frequently asked questions page for more details or contact our team at hello@hipkids.com.au
