Christmas Craft Fun! Christmas Holiday Activities For Kids 

In between visits to the beach and family get-togethers, it’s nice to spend a relaxing day at home with the kids – but keeping them entertained can be a challenge.  Why not enjoy a creative start to the summer holidays with these Christmas holiday activities for kids!

 We’ve found four of the easiest Christmas craft projects that the kids will love. And with simple instructions and only a few things needed to make them, you’ll love them, too!

Christmas Paper Plate Tree Craft

 You'll need:

  • Paper Plate
  • Sparkly sequins/stickers/craft bits to decorate
  • Glue
  • Scissors

 How to:

  • Cut the paper plate into quarters.
  • Layer three of the pieces in a Christmas tree shape (see image), gluing each of the layers together.
  • Decorate your tree with your sparkly bits and glue.

 Paper Concertina Christmas Tree Craft

You'll need:

  • Square piece of green paper for the tree
  • Backing paper or card
  • Glue
  • Sticky tape or stapler
  • Sparkly sequins/stickers/craft bits to decorate

 How to:

  • Concertina fold the square paper. Just fold it back and forth the same size all the way.
  • Then pinch one end closed and secure with a little sticky tape or a staple.
  • Run a little glue across the back and stick it to your backing card.
  • Decorate with your sparkly bits and glue.

Christmas Spiral Paper Tree Craft

 You'll need:

  • Green paper
  • Small bowl or circle shape
  • Pencil
  • Sparkly sequins/stickers/craft bits to decorate
  • Glue
  • Scissors

 How to:

  • Trace a circle around the bowl.
  • Inside the circle draw a spiral.
  • Cut along the spiral line so you have a coil shape.
  • Decorate with your sparkly bits and glue.

 Christmas Paper Bauble Craft

 You'll need:

  • Paper in a few different colours
  • Small bowl or circle shape
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Craft knife
  • Sparkly sequins/stickers/craft bits to decorate
  • Glue
  • Scissors

 

  • How to:
  • Trace a circle around the bowl and then add top notch bell shape to the top of your circle (see image).
  • Cut around the circle shape leaving that notch attached so you can hang your ornament.
  • Use a ruler and draw lines along the bauble, keeping a few millimetres from edge.
  • Use a craft knife to slice along the lines.
  • Cut strips of coloured paper and alternate weaving through the sliced lines.
  • Secure the ends with glue and then cut to fit into your bauble.
  • Decorate with your sparkly bits and glue
