Trybike

Learning to ride a bike is a fundamental part of childhood. It can help build children’s confidence, balance and resilience...

What is a Trybike?

The Trybike is a 2-in-1 tricycle and balance bike for children between the ages of 18 months to 6 years. Constructed from durable stainless steel and finished with charming vintage touches, it’s a bike that will stay in the family for generations to come. You can easily adjust the height of the seats to suit children with different sizing requirements and you can change the bike's mobility from tricycle to balance bike by removing the third wheel in just a few simple steps.

Does a Trybike have pedals?

The Trybike is designed to teach children balance and coordination before they move on to larger pedal bikes. While they don’t have pedals, they are equipped with a unique footrest to improve balance so that your little one can take their riding to the next level. The footrest allows your little one to practice navigating on wheels without needing their feet to stabilise, making the transition to pedalling on a two-wheel bike much easier.

Can a 2-year-old ride a Trybike?

Yes! The Trybike is the perfect training model for children between the ages of 15 months to 6 years old, teaching them the basics of riding so that they can ace pedalling when they move to two-wheel bikes. An experienced Trybike rider will master the art of pedalling within one to two hours without the need for training wheels.

At what age does a child start riding a Trybike?

Designed for children as young as 15 months old, the Trybike in tricycle mode offers kids the additional support they need to build their walking and cycling skills. They’re a great model for children with a disability too, providing maximum support and easy maneuverability. Once your little one reaches two and a half years old, you’ll find they might be ready to graduate to balance bike mode, which you can do by removing the third wheel using our toolkit and instruction manual.
